All Is Well

All Is Well is a 7’ tall prayer wheel made entirely from stainless steel. The piece was produced for the artist Amanda Keely in conjunction with the Bonnier Gallery in Miami FL, for the very high profile “Untitled” art fair on the beach.

The piece weighs nearly 400 lbs and spins on a central pivot allowing the mantra to be repeated with each rotation. The design used overlapping layers of raw and powder coated stainless to give the work depth adding a very modern “spin” on the traditionally ancient Asian spiritual object.

The design was originally done in 3D. So each layer then had to be drawn out flat, laser cut to shape and hand rolled to meet the specifications and alignments of the overlapping layers…translated…that’s a lot of math!

We were extremely blessed to be given the highest possible visibility by the curators with our piece placed just inside the main entrance of the art fair and received a front page cover photo in the Miami Herald. We even got Pharrell to take a spin. All in all…it wen’t pretty well.
