MODERN MINIMAL STEEL COFFEE TABLE WITH HAND APPLIED PATINA: PORTLAND, OR
We were commissioned by our new friend Ruth Chancellor (Chancellor Designs) to recreate an item that was out of proportion for her needs.
With our 3D design software we were abel to refine the measurements and arrive at the exact desire dimensions before we moved forward…taking out all of the guesswork and inefficiencies.
The plate was cut form a heavy 5/16 steel and fabricated in our shop. We then applied an acid patina to turn the metal black leaving a super smooth finish and some really unique tonal patterns in the surface where the patina reacted with the metal.
